Dragi moji, videli ste i sami....a ko nije sad brzo na izučavanje istog, pa kad sledeći put dodje znate šta vam je činiti
"Brži od zvuka, snažniji od lokomotive u stanju da preskoči visoku zgradu....."
Dakle....
My name is Marko Djordjevic. I was born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1972. After trying out different instruments, the drums won in 1984. I spotted an add for drum lessons given by Miroslav Karlovic. I went to my first one, and the rest is... well, here is the rest:
In January of 1989, after the most productive 5 years I could have ever hoped for, I left Serbia and started my studies at Berklee College of Music. Simple math will tell you that I was 1989-1972=17 years old. More complex math, along with some astrology (I am an aries) will reveal that I was still 4 months shy of my 17th birthday. Everything I didn't know at that age was my biggest asset. I was able to concentrate on music, on learning and improving, on looking forward to becoming the musician I wanted to be rather than worrying about the musician I wasn't at the time. It seems to have worked for me... -I have over 40 albums and thousands of live performances to my credit. I performed and/or recorded with Sveti, Jonah Smith, Aaron Goldberg, Wayne Krantz, Lionel Loueke, Matt Garrison, Gary Willis, Bill Frisel, Chris McDermott, Lucky Peterson, Bato the Yugo and Gipsy Boogie, Sten Hostfalt's Ghost Factor, The Tribulations, Clarence Spady, Gregg Bissonette, Eli Degibri, Eric Lewis, the Itals among many others. I am an endorser and clinician of Mapex drums, Zildjian cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and Evans drumheads. I also teach privately and at the Drummers Collective in NYC. Sveti is a group in which I wear many hats - band leader, composer and drummer - a total creative outlet! Since it's inception in 1992, Sveti has been a meeting place for some amazing musicians, from Bato the Yugo and Vasil Hadzimanov, to it's current line up which features a stellar horn section of Brad and Elliot Mason (with John Meyer and Wynton Marsalis respectively), one of the most in demand upright bass players on today's scene in Matt Pavolka and an etraordinarily talented up and coming guitarist Nir Felder. Most of the music on this page is from the recently released album Where I Come From, released by Firma Entertainment.
