Svira trenutno Pearl, Sabian, Pro-Mark i Evans. info ispod:

(Wiki:)

Jimmy DeGrasso (born March 16, 1963) is an American heavy metal drummer. He is currently the drummer for F5 and singer Alice Cooper. DeGrasso was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1981. DeGrasso has also performed with Lita Ford, Ozzy Osbourne, White Lion, Suicidal Tendencies, and Y&T. More recently, DeGrasso was a member of Megadeth, a multi-platinum heavy metal band.
He was Alice Cooper's drummer who played in Wayne's World (at the very end of the 'Hey Stoopid' tour), South America '95, Summer '96 and '97 tours along with filling in for his good friend Eric Singer in Summer '08. Prior to his work with Alice Cooper, he played with Talas (before they recorded), Suicidal Tendencies and White Lion.

Career:

DeGrasso joined the veteran metal band Y&T in 1986, replacing their original drummer Leonard Haze. He remained with the group into the '90s. He would go on to play on Dave Mustaine's (Megadeth vocalist/guitarist) solo album, MD.45 in 1995. Mustaine asked him to join Megadeth in 1998 as drummer and continue the band's Cryptic Writings Tour. He was asked to play with Megadeth five days before the next show. He walked around with a walkman all day to memorize the songs. DeGrasso recorded and toured behind Megadeth's Risk album in 1999-2000, The World Needs A Hero in 2000-2001 and was featured on Megadeth's first ever live CD and DVD release, Rude Awakening in 2002.

Since Megadeth, DeGrasso has performed at the prestigious Modern Drummer Festival in 2002, Ultimate Drummers Weekend in Australia, Drummer Live in the United Kingdom and toured with Stone Sour (Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor’s side project) and guitar legend Ronnie Montrose. He is a highly sought after session player and drummer.

He currently resides in San Jose, California, where he runs his own drum shop, San Jose Pro Drum.

In late August / early September DeGrasso played 11 shows with Alice Cooper to fill in for Eric Singer while Singer played a few KISS shows in America.

Today DeGrasso is a full time member of a heavy metal band F5 and Hail along with former Megadeth band mate Dave Ellefson. Also is back with Alice Cooper full time due to Eric Singers busy schedule with Kiss.

With a resume boasting Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Suicidal Tendencies, Lita Ford and Y&T, Jimmy DeGrasso was also the mega-powered, driving force behind one of hard rock's most revered outfits of all time, the multi-platinum, Megadeth.

Jimmy moved from Pennsylvania, to the bustling musical Mecca of Los Angeles more than a decade ago. " I moved to L.A. hoping that someone like Ozzy would be looking for a drummer, and lo' and behold, I landed the gig with Ozzy playing on the Ultimate Sin album" says DeGrasso. Though the Ozzy gig was short lived, Jimmy spent three years with the critically acclaimed Y&T, before leaving the band in 1990. The skate-punk flavored, Suicidal Tendencies followed in 1992 as well doing a ‘fill–in’ tour with Alice in Chains in 1993. DeGrasso then toured the world with Alice Cooper from 1995 to 1998, played on the Fistful of Alice album in 1996 and returned to Alice briefly in 2001. Jimmy played on Dave Mustaine’s (Megadeth Vocalist/Guitarist) solo album, MD-45 in 1995 and then received a call back from Mustaine, in 1998, to join Megadeth as a permanent member and continue the bands’ Cryptic Writings Tour. DeGrasso recorded and toured behind Megadeth’s Risk album in 1999-2000, The World Needs A Hero in 2000-2001 and was featured on Megadeths’ first ever live CD and DVD offering, Rude Awakening in 2002.

Since the demise of Megadeth, Jimmy has performed at the prestigious Modern Drummer Festival in 2002, Ultimate Drummers Weekend in Australia, Drummer Live in the UK and toured with Stonesour [Slipknot Vocalist Corey Taylor’s side project], Marty Friedman, guitar legend Ronnie Montrose, David Lee Roth of Van Halen and Alice Cooper.

Most recently Jimmy has recorded a CD entitled ‘The Reckoning’ with the band F5 along with his old friend David Ellefson. In 2008 Jimmy toured the world performing drum clinics in support of Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Evans drum heads and Promark drumsticks. Also introduced were Jimmy’s Signature snare drum by Pearl Drums and his signature 23” Over-Ride Cymbal by Sabian. For 2009 Jimmy continues to perform clinics and tour with a new project called ‘Hail’ and is about to embark on another world tour with Rock Legend Alice Cooper.

Jimmy DeGrasso

Jimmy DeGrasso joined speed-metal pioneers Megadeth on the cusp of recording their 1999 release,

Risk. It wasn't as if Jimmy needed a gig. He was touring Europe with no less a rock icon than Alice Cooper at the time. But Megadeth's Dave Mustaine was an old friend, and Jimmy loved the group's music. So he made the change.

Risk was a stylistic departure from what Megadeth was famous for. But their 2001 release, The World Needs A Hero, marked a return to the classic formula: guitar, bass, and drums, played with ferocious intensity. And that's right up Jimmy's alley.

Known for his powerful groove - even at lightening speeds - Jimmy considers himself a fairly technical drummer. His footspeed alone would scare most normal mortals. Even so, his first priority is "getting the right feel for the song." Well, Jimmy's been getting it right for quite a while now. Speed, power, groove, creativity... it's all there. And it all rocks.

Drumming Hero

A couple of years back, while Jimmy DeGrasso was in Europe playing drums with Alice Cooper, he got a call from an old friend, Megadeth's Dave Mustaine. The band needed a drummer, was DeGrasso up for the gig? "It was a surreal moment," he recalls, "to sit down at breakfast with Alice and say, 'I have to leave.'"

DeGrasso joined the popular speed metal band on the cusp of recording their 1999 release, Risk. "They wanted to do something adventurous, a huge departure from what they had done previously," he explains. "Unfortunately, I wanted to join Megadeth and play Megadeth music, as opposed to this experimental rock album." While Risk picked up some new fans for the Megadeth camp, it certainly alienated some old ones.

With that in mind, Megadeth dispensed with unnecessary studio gadgetry for The World Needs A Hero, their first new album in two years. "This time out," DeGrasso says, "we basically streamlined back down to what we are. It's metal: guitar, bass, and drums - no effects or loops. We just wanted to do what we felt like doing."

Most of the songs for The World Needs A Hero were written during soundchecks on the Risk tour. DeGrasso believes the band's unorthodox approach yielded exciting results that are easily heard on the record. "When you write songs at soundcheck," he says, "standing on that stage, you have your full sound. The guys are playing through big rows of Marshals, I have this huge drum wedge behind me, and the bass drums are at about 135 decibels. There's a certain presence there that inspires you much more than when you're in a rehearsal space with padding all over the walls. I think that lent a live vibe to The World Needs A Hero."

HAIL! — the all-star project featuring guitarist Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA), vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, BEYOND FEAR, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ICED EARTH), drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (ALICE COOPER, MEGADETH) and bassist David Ellefson (F5, MEGADETH)

Ellefson states: "Metal music has been our life and even our livelihoods. So this will be a cool opportunity for us to perform some of our favorite songs together for the fans and pay homage to the movement as a whole."

Owens says: "Now this is about having fun with some friends, and just playing some fun, kick-ass metal! I can't wait to have a few beers with my friends in Chile!"

HAIL! is expected to perform tracks from MEGADETH, SEPULTURA and JUDAS PRIEST along with classics from AC/DC, BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, METALLICA, VENOM and IRON MAIDEN.
