GOSPEL DRUMMER

Post by jhonbes » March 27th, 2008, 7:33 pm

Ima ih mali milon, pa rekoh da ih svrstam sve pod gospel posto su svi potekli iz takve
vrste muzike.

On mi je prvi pao na pamet.

1. Thomas Pridgen (izvor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Pridgen)
(born November 23, 1983 in Alameda County, California) is the current drummer for The Mars Volta from El Cerrito, California. He won the Guitar Center Drum-Off at age 9 and at age 10 was the youngest recipient for a Zildjian endorsement in the nearly 400 year history of the company. Thomas has studied with David Garibaldi, Walfredo Reyes Jr,Troy Luketta, and Curtis Nutall. He is endorsed by DW Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Remo Drumheads, LP Percussion, Rhythm Tech, and Zendrum. Thomas was also the recipient of a 4 year scholarship to Berklee College of Music in 1999 at the age of 15; he was youngest musician to ever receive this scholarship.[1] He has played in clinics with Walfredo Reyes, Jr. and Dennis Chambers. Besides his work with The Mars Volta, he has also been involved with Christian Scott and Wicked Wisdom.

2. Teddy Campbell (izvor:http://www.drummerworld.com/drummers/Te ... pbell.html)
Teddy Campbell began developing his road reputation early on. Immediately after finishing high school in Chicago, he started touring with a string of gospel-inspired stage shows. Before long, he was serving as musical director, a position rarely filled by drummers. "I don't play keyboards," says Campbell, "but I can spell out melodies, chords, and arrangements by singing. I have arrangement ideas running though my head all the time, and I'm good at retaining a lot of music because I used to have to learn so much material at once in the gospel world. But the biggest part of the musical director job is being able to get along with everyone—just being a people person, I guess....................
